Often, yes - the AI is trained on it. Clear writing and good light matter more than neat writing. If we cannot read your file, or we read it and find no dates, you are not charged a credit.

Which image formats work?

JPG, PNG and WebP, up to 5MB. A screenshot from a phone or a laptop is the most common input and works the same way.

The photo is at an angle. Does that matter?

Mild angles are fine. Heavy skew, glare across the text and motion blur are the usual causes of a poor read, and retaking the photo straight-on is normally quicker than correcting the result.
